About Me

My name is Achraf Mansari and I was born on Monday, October 22nd, 2001 in my hometown Khouribga, where I had my first interaction with a computer at nearly 4 years old by playing Windows XP’s videogames on my father's old desktop, but I never got interested in how it works until 2009’s summer, when I received my first laptop as a gift from my uncle and spent a lot of time playing online-games (Yep! I wasted a lot of time playing video games since then) until I had the chance to watch Iron Man 3 in 2013's summer, that got me inspired by its story and characters (especially the Jarvis Virtual Assistant), and started to ask and search how computers work which leads me to find Blogger and began to learn how to edit its templates, but a lot of difficulties were found because I had no coding knowledge even with just HTML and CSS.

Luckily there was a small Institute that teaches Web Development in the same city (Berrechid), yet didn't complete the course as a result of my family moving to Temara. At the same time, some eye-catching thumbnails were needed for my blogs, so I had to learn to create/modify them and that's how I got interested in design.

I tried to complete learning by myself until my family moved again to Sala El Jadida, where I watched a video of some university students who made a voice-controlled Iron Man helmet using the Arduino microcontroller, and saved the project documents (download links were in the video's description) in my Google Drive's account, then began to learn about that microcontroller (Arduino) using its online emulator. 4 months later, I asked my father to buy me the Arduino Starter Pack. Well, he didn't refuse ! (Gotta give a huge thanks to my father for always helping me to fulfill my curiosity). So, I started making simple projects such as blinding LEDs and controlling servos using RFID cards, and in parallel I began doing 3D modeling and Interior design. In August 2017, we moved to Oued Zem and this time I focused more on designing Logos, Websites, Flyers, Merch and 3D models, and made small efforts to learn more about the Arduino until April 2019, when I decided to participate in a competition for the first time, so I chose the Moroccan Robotics Newbie Contest where I got the 3rd place in Junior's category. In December 2019, I -by chance- found the documents that were saved on my old Google Drive account back in Sala El Jadida, and after reading all the information and buying the necessary software, I was able to achieve my childhood dream of making a voice-controlled robot and called it HILAL.

Later during the quarantine period in 2020, I began to do more freelance work to brush up my skills in 3D modeling and interior design, and to get used to professional work, but I decided to stop early and focus more on my studies because I moved to Khouribga (the 6th time moving to another city 😅) to start my journey as a university student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the local faculty, and willing to become a software engineer in the near future (Inshallah).
